Confession: I Play Pokémon GO

My confession to everyone is that I play Pokémon GO. I am ready to admit this to everyone, but I am willing to give you some background and information about it too. If you think about it, we all have something that people do not all know about us. At this time, I am willing to reveal this. This is fact.

What is Pokémon Go?

According to Nintendo, Pokémon” is a combination of the words “Pocket” and “Monsters,” In Japanese. In 1996, the first Pokémon games were released on the Game Boy and this created many sequels and a card game. The basic idea is that the game takes place in a world full of Pokémon, which are monsters of varying sizes and shapes that can be captured in tiny red balls and tamed by Pokémon trainers, who use ultimately use them to fight. The player is a young trainer. The goal is to capture and train as many Pokémon as they can on their quest to become the best trainer in the world. Probably the most famous and known Pokémon is Pikachu.

In July of 2016, the app for Pokémon GO was released to play on phones.  The biggest difference in the app is that the Pokémon are now located in your world. Pokémon GO is a GPS-enabled game that encourages the players to walk around their neighborhoods and town to hunt down Pokémon. The game app produces the monsters at random places.  I started playing a month after it started.

Do I Play To Win?

I play Pokémon GO. The truth is this:

I do enjoy my walk, and playing adds a dimension to my walk!

My Game

I use playing to make me move, but I do get excited to play because I am always looking for characters that I do not have already.

Here is my own character:

I catch Pokémon.

I have even caught Pikachu!

Of course, I had to go all the way to Hawaii to catch him, BUT I caught 3 – yes 3 that night!

My Confession

I get my steps in. Also, I satisfy my need to clear my head at night. Move by walking and have some fun while doing it. In my case, I play Pokémon GO.  This is my confession! A mom that plays Pokémon GO right here! It may not be the coolest thing, but I am doing it regardless!
