DIY Clean

Searching for nontoxic or organic cleaners can be expensive. According to some studies those products have the potential of being harmful especially with the chemicals used.

How about some DIY Cleaners?

Glass Cleaner

2 cups water, 2 Tablespoons white vinegar, 2 Tablespoons rubbing alcohol and use your newspaper to clean those windows.

All Purpose Cleaners

3/4 cup water, 1/4 cup rubbing alcohol, 5 to 10 drops peppermint, lemon, or orange essential oil, 1 squirt natural dish soap in a 16-ounce spray bottle.

OR

½ cup white vinegar, 2 cups water, and juice of 1 lemon (do not use this on marble or granite).

Wood Polish

2 TBSP olive oil, ¼ c white vinegar, about 2-4 drops of lemon oil in a spray bottle. (Do 1 day in advance)

Kitchen Deodorizer and Cleaner

4 Tablespoons baking soda, 1 quart warm water, (this is great on stainless steel) and don’t forget that baking soda in the drain and garbage disposal helps remove odors.
